Cloths

Punjabi culture is truly amazing. The way punjabi people dress up is really cool.

 Kurta pajama(traditional dress) is worn by gabru munde (boys of punjab). They wear jalsa ( traditional footwear ) with their dress and also wear turban and make thier mustaches turned out with proud. 

Dhoti(a long and loose cloth wrapped around) is  worn by elder men  with kurta.

 Girls have patiala suit salwar with dupatta n tikka on head, pranda in hairs and khussa or also called punjabi jutti ( traditional footwear ). 

 Punjabi girls have a great excitement to get ready for any kind of function as they love to dressed up traditionally.  Punjabi clothing for folk dance is different from normal wear. No need to introduce about bhangra dress of punjab as the whole world is very well familiar with it. 

 Last but not least Punjabi dressed up with proud as thier style makes them different from others

Marriage

Punjabi marriage is a combination of rituals, faith, believe, love and culture. no other cultures wedding have so much wedding rituals as much a Punjabi wedding. Punjabi wedding starts with roka where both families decide to marry their son or daughter with the another family's son or daughter.
Roka is a ritual, where boy and girl see each other and their families meet for first time.
sagai (engagement)  this ritual includes ring exchange between bride and groom.
usually Punjabi wedding goes on for a week or so.
dholki/sangeet (DJ night) jago has a very vital role in punjabi wedding where both families celebrate the happiness of marriage.
Anad Karaj is biggest and special ritual in Punjabi weddings, no wedding is completed without this anand karaj. both bride and grrom promise each other to live together and forever in the presence of "shri Guru Granth Sahib".

last but not least is doli. Doli is ritual where the bride leaves her home and go with her husband to live with him and his family. Punjabi weddings are really fun!

   

Dance

Punjabi folk dance for men or for all is Bhangra and for females is Gidha. Without Bhangra or Gidha every occasion is not an occasion.  Bhangra is the most important thing for Punjabi's no matter where we are!

Games

There are many games played in Punjab such as Hockey, Cricket and Kabbadi. Kabbadi is the state game of Punjab. Parents start teaching there kids how to play kabbadi in early ages, its sort of tradition they play kabbadi just for fun. When families are together they enjoy it, because in Punjab family over everything.
